| Pneumatic Wheels - steel rim |
One piece, continuous precision welding gives a strong, wobble free wheel. Centres up to and including 500x6 are manufactured from 1.8mm steel and the 650x8 is of 2mm thick steel (NOTE: Some cheaper centres on the market are manufactured from steel as thin as 0.6mm). Pneumatic Wheels - Plastic rim
|

Plastic Centres are ideal where you might encounter moisture. They are rust free, lightweight, and resist impact better than steel. Use on wheel barrows, brickies carts, nursery trolleys, etc. They can be cleaned with water without fear of rusting, although care must be taken not to force water into bearings - if the wheel is to be subjected to continuous washing consider plain bearings - contact the factory for details. Flexibility is important: The greater the speed and/or roughness of the surface or if the surface is soft, the greater the width and diameter of the wheel needs to be. Conditions of Use: Wheels in this catalogue are for use under industrial conditions on smooth floors and runways free of undulations, obstructions or discontinuities, at the speed specified. Use under other conditions may lower the performance of the wheels, and can be dangerous. Capacity: The capacity of a pneumatic wheel is affected by TYRE SIZE - the bigger the cross section and diameter, the rougher can be the surface.
