These castors are adapted to suit the requirements of the Scaffolding Code. They have a Factor of Safety of 4 (more than the required 3), a 150mm long mounting to the upright standard, and Total Lock braking to ensure a mobile scaffold can be made rock steady.
Features that ensure - Fallshaw castors satisfy O.H.S. Codes and Australian Standards:
- A means is provided of fixing to tube, so it will not fall out when fitted
- The pintle (stem) of castor is 150mm long, with not more than 3mm clearance to tube
- Sockets are to suit 48.3mm OD tube, while spigots (solid stems) fit 38.5mm tube
- Castors are branded with makers name, and Safe Working Load (SWL)
- Wheels are 150mm and 200mm diameter
- Wheels are resilient polyurethane as standard. High resilience rubber isavailable on request (pneumatics are never fitted to scaffold castors)
 An effective wheel/swivel brake is fitted to ensure maximum stability- The static collapse load exceeds 3 times the working load (certificate available)
