| Polyurethane
tyred wheels are preferred for most applications. They are non-marking,
have a low starting torque, do not flat spot while standing, operate quietly,
are shock absorbing and have an operating temperature of between -30°C
to +90°C (+30°C in water). Polyurethane tyred wheels are particularly suited to power towing and other uses giving high impact loads. A generous 20mm of polyurethane absorbs much more of the shock, and protects both castor and trolley from damage. Polyurethane is unaffected by oils and most industrial chemicals. It has a much higher load capacity than rubber, and much higher resistance to "chunking", abrasion and pickup of gravel and metal chips. We take particular care to ensure secure bonding of the tyre to the rugged cast centre. |

| When
fully loaded these castors should be towed, and NOT hand pushed. See also
'A', 'B'
& 'U' series. See also 'Y' series for a 400mm rubber tyred towing castor. Greater detail on castors and towing is covered in the 'Towing Pages'. |
