| Towing - Castor Series |
|
Fallshaw offer a range of Heavy Duty castors. They can be found in our "H", "Y", "X" & "V" series. |

| H
Series By taking special care, this is the heaviest series that can be conveniently hand pushed. It is not for power towing, other than light use on a towveyer with a level floor. |

| Y
Series The lightest version uses a 250x4 pneumatic to absorb the shock when towed indoors. It is based on an 'H' fork with widened legs. The middle size uses a 350x4 pneumatic to absorb the shock when towed slowly on smooth surfaces outdoors It is based on a strengthened H series with strengthened legs. The largest size uses 400mm wheels, either solid or pneumatic, and is suited for rough towing outside. The solid tyre is maintenance free, while the pneumatic absorbs more bumps. It is based on a 'V' series head assembly, so is very rugged. |

| X
Series This series uses a 40mm tread width, strengthened against impact with a metal centre and the special castor head developed to withstand the rapidly fluctuating mixture of radial and thrust loads in towing use. The X range nicely covers the intermediate range of trolleys, mostly hand pushed, but sometimes towed slowly on level floors. Note: The wheel tread is 40mm wide with polyurethane only 10mm thick - adequate for slow speed use only. |

| V
Series This remains the best towing castor available. Fitted with top class wheels, with a fork assembly made up of CNC turned raceways made from high tensile steel and heat treated for toughness. Legs are thick and strong. These castors can be recommended with confidence into normal outdoor use on rougher surfaces and at speeds up to 16km/hr (running speed). They should be used indoors whenever the floors are broken by rail lines, etc. |
