Forks incorporate twin work hardened raceways, and heavy barreled legs continuously welded to the head race. Plate mount size of 7"x4" is common throughout industry. Hole spacings are 6"x3" (both swivel & fixed). Black etch primer for good resistance to everyday corrosion.

Roller bearings are lower cost but requires some maintenance over time. A good general purpose option. Roller bearings are for medium duty use, infrequently used.

Precision bearings are deep grooved and have a higher capacity. Shielded to resist dust and moisture whilst retaining grease. Maintenance-free under normal operating conditions. Easier to push than rollers. Recommended for more severe use.

Polyurethane tyred wheels are the most used in industry. The tyres roll easily and last a long time. They do not pick up gravel or metal chips, do not "chunk out" in rough conditions, are resilient to most chemicals and greases, and are easy on floors.
