| Selling to Fallshaw |
| We welcome
new suppliers who can help us improve our quality and/or reduce our costs.
These notes explain our place in the market, and when new suppliers are
likely to sell to us.
Fallshaw manufactures mainline quality castors/wheels at their factory in Sunshine, Australia (9km NW of Melbourne). We have modern injection moulding, and buy nylon, polypropylene, TPE, thermoplastic polyurethane and specialised plastics. We have a modern press shop, and buy steel, cold forgings, etc. We assemble castors using our own production, plus imported balls, bearings and other componentry. Fallshaw will only change suppliers after extensive testing, and only if the change will improve quality/cost by a significant amount. We are not interested in job-lots or one-off deals. We trade only with well established companies able to offer reliable supply over long periods. Our most successful new suppliers are those who offered us better ways of doing business, either through new materials or better commercial arrangements bringing cost savings. It sometimes takes a while to get through Design/QA, but, when approved, settles to stable business. We do business in English and electronically (email, CAD files, Web, etc). We need you to demonstrate a good and improving quality history, and reducing costs, and ISO9001 certification is normal. Most of our sales are through 300 distributors in Australia, but 30% of production is exported. We do not accept restrictions on our trading rights. We have a number of agency agreements with other makers of castors/wheels/ancillary equipment, and we would welcome offers of products compatible with ours for distribution. If you have a product you think we might value, email our Supply Chain Manager (lcalabria@fallshaw.com.au) explaining your thoughts, and telling us something of your company, preferably with visual attachments. Give your email address for reply. See also... |
