D Series

The D series is designed to give the lowest cost reliable design for use up to 100kg each (400kg over 4). Two complete rows of balls give a very free running castor for low speed use. A bright zinc protective finish is used (for corrosive conditions see also "Stainless Steel Castors" and "Chemical Resistance Chart")
The D series is the ideal solution for all the light industrial uses which do not justify the expense of a stronger castor. However, as this is the entry point for industrial specifications, please consider all the conditions of use carefully. The "barreling" of the fork gives it more impact resistance than the "M" fork, but for heavier use see our "J", "O", or "H" series.

All wheels use an 8mm axle.
Plain bearing wheels use a 12mm axle bush reducing to 8mm.
Roller bearing wheels use a 20mm axle bush reducing to 8mm.
Ball bearing wheels mount directly on the 8mm axle.
Choosing the right castor
- select the wheel from the MODEL column (eg DNN125) AND if required, add threadguards (where available *) (eg DNN125G)
- then the castor frame from one of the next four columns (eg DNN125G/DZP)
- add a brake OR direction lock, select TB or DL from the final column in the table (eg DNN125G/DZPTB)
The expanding stem (E) and bolt hole (H) castors mount 2-3mm lower than the swivel plate (P) and rigid plate (F) castors. If you wish to mount in combination with plate castors we can supply a 3mm spacer washer (ADAPTWASHER-TB) free of charge - request at order time.
